Work email died on Friday - we got it back today. The server where our email boxes are held had a hardware fault, they've moved the boxes to another server for now. This server also had the webmail access on it as well - again it was moved.
So..... what do I find in my inbox today when all the email from the weekend and Friday arrives? 8 emails from seperate members of staff asking/informing myself or the department of an email problem......
I know I shouldn't be surprised with this but its depressing everytime something like this happens - I seem to expect a bit of lateral thinking/common sense from people who have high level degrees, most have at least one Masters qualification and all either have or are working on PhD's.
PS - the desk is fine
