Irony Lost

Today marked the opening of the new Eurostar terminal St Pancras in London. The journey time between London and Paris has now been cut by 20 minutes due to the new track and routing etc.

The first train arrived at Paris ontime (even though French railways are on strike). Its nice to have the link finally open - but the station where the Eurostar used to go to always managed to make me smile.

Why? the station name - Waterloo
