Got into work and within a few minutes of arrival one of the lecturers came in with a problem in the lecture theatre. Okay, that was easy, the monitor cord had been left off the computer there (someone on Friday used their laptop and didn't replace the cord). Thats a standard 'oh no its not working' panic attack.
Next, the lecture wasn't on the disk - I have a system which works of the webserver which allows staff to upload files so they can get at them from that computer (which doesn't like USB sticks). So, I run up to her office with the disk to copy the file. Now, this block is a converted bungalow. This member of staff was the only one in from this block - and they had left they had locked the 'front door' - which I then jogged straight into (lucky I don't injure easily). My key lets me in most places, so a quick copy later and alls well.
Still, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the week.
