US cartoonist Joseph Barbera dies

Joseph Barbera, one half of the team behind such cartoon classics as The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo and Huckleberry Hound, has died, aged 95.
He died of natural causes at home with his wife, Sheila, at his side.

With William Hanna, Barbera founded Hanna-Barbera in the 1950s, after the pair had earlier worked on the Tom and Jerry cartoons at MGM studios.

"Joe will live on through his work," said Warner Brothers chairman and CEO, Barry Meyer

Although its only to be expected due to his age - its still a shame, and a passing of a 'great'. Makes me want to go find some pic-a-nic baskets
11:40 am - Ugh
Christmas do in a bit. I'm taking the bus to the city and then back later. Leaving my car at work - its a lot cheaper doing it that way.

I feel awful, I have a cold which has come on in the last day or so. I'm running on Ibuprofen and Lemsip to keep me going. Eating shouldn't be a problem but dealing with the noise will be a problem. Also, I'm now severely hypersensitive (instead of just hypersensitive).

Once I get home I think a good hot bath will be needed.
