Close call

My electric kettle broke last night - actually it sprung quite a big leak that I couldn't repair. So, my tea making facilities were compromised and the shops would have been closed so getting a new one that night was not something I could do.

Luckily, as tea is a critical aspect in my case I do have backup plans. My gas stove and one of my camping kettle's make an excellent reserve. For the record I could use my camping stove to make tea if I lost both gas and electrical supply.

A walk to the shops this morning and I now have a new kettle - tea making facilities are now back up to normal. Maybe I should get a spare kettle but if all else fails I could bring the one I have at work home.
